State Highway 142 or SH 142 is a short Texas state highway that runs from Martindale to Lockhart. It is located entirely within Caldwell County. The route was designated by 1933 along its current route. In 2009 the route was extended westward to Interstate 35, concurrent with State Highway 80.[2]
